KB20200421/01: Sage 200 Evolution – New Features
New User Interface, Exciting Navigation Options and Filters
- The Sage 200 Evolution product has a new and improved User Interface.
- The Sage 200 Evolution product has changed the navigation within the system to a Group Manager structure, where it consists of a process flow, work area, quick reports and recently used sections.
- A filter was added at the top of the system tree to enable users to perform quick searches within the system.
- The user has the ability to customize the look and feel of the system by using the User Preferences functionality whereby they can change button sizes, button displays, scroll bar positioning and more.
Copy to or from Excel
- You now have the functionality to copy maintenance and enquiry grids directly to Microsoft Excel by highlighting the grid data, right clicking and selecting the Copy to Excel option from the menu that displays. Once you open Microsoft Excel, you can just right click and paste the information.
Administration
- Agents permissions can be set on which process flows they can access.
- Easy backup and restore process accessible via the Administration | System Tools menu. The system will automatically date and time stamp the backup file.
General Ledger Module
- When a new company is created, the system automatically allows all general ledger accounts to be used for journal processing, except for the control accounts which are not allowed (deselected). If you want these control accounts to be available for journal processing you would need to activate them or run the Allow Journal Utility which gives you the ability to allow or disallow journal processing for the control accounts and all the other general ledger accounts.
Inventory Module
- Categorize your items using the Item Categories functionality, this will enhance your reporting capabilities.
- The Quick Entry feature allows you to record some items master file data, such as item groups and inventory items in a batch format by accessing the maintenance grid, right clicking and selecting the Quick Entry option. You can also Copy from Excel into these quick entry grids.
- The system now, automatically creates and populates a Service Item Group on Inventory Defaults screen. This means that if you create any service items, these items will automatically be linked to this default Service Item Group.
- Setup your bin locations and link it to levels and level values.
- Multiple Barcodes are now available on your Inventory Item | Information screen.
- Item Pricing shortcut available on the Inventory Maintenance screen opens the same screens as the Item Pricing button on the Inventory | Pricing screen.
- You have the ability to schedule price update batches by using the Job Manager functionality.
- Import price batches
- The Global Item Change has a diagnose and clean-up function where it checks duplicate prices, non-sellable warehouse linkage, GIT warehouse status and mark-up of prices.
- Reprint document wizard accessible from the Inventory Reports menu.
- Create your inventory attribute types, values and groups in the Common module. Setup your inventory items for Inventory Attributes and perform Inventory Attribute Quantity Adjustments.
